Our scheme responds to medical emergencies in the following areas: Earley, Lower Earley, Wokingham, Whitley and Sindlesham. We may also be asked to cover other areas when needed. The  scheme is run by Coordinators Rachel Meston and Mark Davis, they are supported by Responders Chris Cloake, Mervyn Wiseman and Ian Hayward. we are always looking to recruit new volunteers, if you are interested please feel free to contact us at any time.

Meet the team

Rachel Meston – Coordinator / Responder

Rachel was the first member of our scheme and has held the role of coordinator ever since. Rachel is also an employee of South Central Ambulance Service and works on the patient transport vehicles as an ambulance care assistant. Rachel’s devotion has kept the scheme running from the start. Rachel holds the IHCD First Person on Scene Award.

Mark Davis – Coordinator / Responder

Mark is the joint coordinator with Rachel. Mark runs his own business in the independent ambulance / training sector. Mark is a qualified and registered tutor and has spent many years teaching pre hospital emergency care. 

Mervyn Wiseman – Responder

Mervyn successfully completed his community responder training in October 2007 and is a member of the Lower Earley Community First Responders.
